Reflections

What I’m Learning (July)

This month started quite slow but I’m really grateful for the moments of reflection and clarity I’ve gained by the end of it. So I wanted to share some of the things that I’m learning with you all and hopefully, I can continue it throughout the next six months.

I am learning to listen to the requests of my body. To take time out when I need it. To listen and obey the whisperings of my soul. That which moves me closer to Allah. Learning that as much as I love my alone time, sometimes it works to my detriment. Reality doesn’t always align with one’s imagination, who knew I would hate working from home so much! I am learning to stop holding on so tightly, less control can be good. To cherish great conversations and be appreciative of the loved ones I’m surrounded by. I’m learning to be more mindful and grateful for the small moments. The smile of a child, The I Love You From a Sibling.

I am learning to stop letting go of something good in search of perfection. Most importantly, I am learning I haven’t failed enough times. And the prospect of chasing  my biggest and wildest dreams leaves me joyous at the end of this month.

Alhamdulilah 🙂
