Mental Health Awareness Week 2016

It is Mental Health Awareness Week takeover on the blog! Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place from from the 16th – 22nd of May with the theme of relationships. Throughout the week I will be shining the spotlight on various aspects of Mental Health Awareness, specifically in relation to the Islamic and Nigerian community which I am a part of.  I hope the series clarifies some of the misconceptions on mental health specifically depression; and explore the role of religion and culture in the stigma that exists with mental health and the way these two factors can also be positive.
